PEWPEWPEW Dear Magda:

I hope this letter finds you well. My travels have taken me back to Kalimdor, but recently I visited the Darkmoon Faire in Elwynn Forest. It was very strange to see Orcish children running freely through the streets of Goldshire. They even spoke Common and were selling pet frogs. I thought about purchasing one, but Katka did not like that idea. However, on our way back to Stormwind City, we encountered a woman selling kittens from a small cottage off of the road.

Most of them were ordinary housecats, but one of them seemed to have the spirit of a wild hunter. She even resembled a small version of Katka. Katka may believe that I have lost my head, but I have asked her to teach the kitten to hunt. It is not right for a mighty hunter (even one in a small, cute body) to live the life of a house pet. Already Tabby has impressed me. She loyally follows me and Katka everywhere we go, not even requiring us to slow down for her.

One might think that, as a mere first-season creature, Tabby would shy away from battle. I even thought that at first. But as we were fighting in a centaur village the other day, I began to hear a small sound coming from next to me. It was Tabby, saying with all her first-season kitten might, “pewpewpewpew!” Katka is nonplussed that Tabby tries to emulate the hunter with two legs and not the hunter with four. I told Katka I was sure it was nothing personal, but tried to explain to Tabby that she cannot use a bow running on all fours.

It is strange, but perhaps Tabby’s efforts are not in vain. She carries herself just as Katka does, and even the most hostile and dangerous of beasts treat Tabby with the respect they would give an animal many times her size. She has not even been directly attacked once.

I look forward to the day you become experienced enough to leave the Exodar, sister, so that we can tame the wilderness of this planet together. I am sure that with your magical training, the four of us will become an unstoppable force. I must finish this letter now, as Katka has begun to roll her eyes at me and Tabby is requesting some sort of meat sandwich that she calls a “cheezburger”.

Yours, Kashi

  1. Sadly, my own tabby does not try to emulate me in combat, and would be just as useless in any case. He does enjoy playing with my totems, however. I look upon him as a good luck charm.

  2. Manawanda!
