Public Service Announcement
Friday, June 15th, 2007(As much for me as for anyone else.)
If you “only” lost one pound this week, this is how much you lost:
Yes, that is another MyPetFat. Don’t worry, I’m not collecting them — I just wanted to know what a whole pound felt like. I shall call this one “Spot”. I think he looks kind of cute, like a little fatty llama.

There is something positively absurd about them, isn’t there?
And yeah, hell, even the one ounce version makes losing that much seem like an accomplishment.

Ah, yes, it seems that on some blogs, my comments always end up in spam, even after having been previously approved. :/ I’ve tried to use another e-mail address, I hope this wll work.
And yes, positively absurd is a very good way of wording it.

I know this probably wasn’t supposed to be the aim of those pet fats, but they really crack me up each time I see one.
Impressive, though. Even ‘only’ one pound looks more important this way, once put back into perspective.
