UK drinkers will know their limits in 2008
Monday, May 28th, 2007UK to have alcohol health labels in 2008.
I actually think this is really cool. Everyone knows about the whole 5oz of wine, 4oz of liquor, 12oz of beer thing, right? Or do they? I’m not even sure if those are the right numbers.

“So, how many ‘drinks’ are in this refreshing beverage, and how many should I have? Oh! It’s on the label! Thanks, UK government!” So many people are totally portion-blind that I can see this making a difference.

Maybe “UK units” are smaller than US ones — if that bottle of, looks like beer or something, is 1.7 units, and one “unit” for us is 12 ounces, then wow, that’s a friggin’ huge beer bottle. :p

I see no cookie??? Where is it! But this is an interesting post none the less. It would be weird to see serving sizes on alcohol. I wonder if it’ll make any sort of difference in how people drink?

Thank you! Low in calories too…I could eat this simply all night long; with no regrets.
You rock.

Hey, no fair!
In the UK, women get 2-3 units? In the U.S., they keep telling us just one.
