The “Morning After Pill” will now be as easily available as cigarettes
Thursday, August 24th, 2006The FDA has ruled that women (and men) over the age of 18 can buy the emergency contraceptive Plan B over-the-counter. Minors will still need a prescription, but now they can bypass the doctor’s visit and the asshole pro-forced-birth pharmacist by having a parent or older sibling or friend get the pills for them. It will now also be much easier to have a dose of Plan B on hand before an emergency has occurred, to completely bypass the “ticking clock” problem and maximize its effectiveness.
Maybe eventually the Powers That Be will pull their heads all the way out of their asses and allow teenagers to have it over-the-counter too.
